What's New with the Sensation crew!!

Jean Carman and T earned their ASCA CDX title on 12/3 with a 192.5 and first place, then went out the next day and won the Novice Rally class to finish their ASCA RN title too!

Targa finished her Standard Agility Masters title in USDAA on 11/27 and added another Snooker Super-Q as well! Flame earned her 25th tournament Q in Team to earn her TM-Silver. Brooks earned her Veteran Jumpers title too!

Ember finished her AXJ title on 10/28 and even earned her first MACH points over the weekend! Gramma Brooks is also back in Excellent B in both Std and JWW, and has one Excellent A FAST Q as well.

The last of the free agent contracts is signed, and the Baseball teammates have now joined their forever teams. We're very happy with the pups and are sure they are going to have terrific careers in whatever endeavors they do!

Jean Carman and T finished the OA title on 10/16 so she is now an Excellent dog (well, she always has been <G>)!! She also added her first MXF leg. Congrats to a great team! T is now Sensation's Hearts are Wild UD VER RE OA NAJ XF PG1 CL1-R CL1-F ASCA CD.

The German contingent of the Sensation family has a mixture of emotions - Ulrike's boy Till, Sensation Livin' the Good Life VPG3 FH2 AD, lost his fight against cancer on October 14th. He is the first Sensation puppy to go to the Bridge. His legacy will live on, even as Ulrike welcomes a new Sensation Baseball teammate into her life, since AxMan left for Germany on the same day Till left her. Godspeed Till, watch over your "little brother" AxMan.

Targa just missed a triple-Q on October 8th, but she did earn her 10th Excellent B FAST leg which finished her MXF title. She is now CH Sensation's From the Heart CD RA TD HSAs MX MXJ MXF MAD GM RS-N GS-O JS-E.

Ember has a new herding title - she earned her HSAd on 9/24, and also earned the first two legs on Started sheep, one of them a first place! She's come a long way, and will hope to finish the HSAs title in November and then grow up a bit to learn how to drive. She is now Sensation's Firestorm CD RN TD HSAd OA OAJ NF AAD.

BIG news on 9/25 - Flame finally overcame all her herding bad luck & put in the run of her life on A course ducks to finish her HC! Her MACH in July and her HC in September, with a litter of pups in between - what a summer she's had! At the same trial she also finished her HX on B course ducks, so she earned three HX titles on the way to the HC. I am SO very proud of her! She is now HC MACH Sensation's Hearts on Fire CDX RE TDX HXAds HXBd MXF AAD GCH-Br RCH-Br TM RS-E GS-E JS-E.

Targa took only three weekends to finish her USDAA MAD title on 9/17! The same weekend, Ember earned her Advanced Gamblers, Snooker and Standard titles which also earned her AAD. She's a Masters dog now - pretty amazing for less than a year of trialing!

The Baseball litter is here! Flame conveniently had them on an evening when there was no Brewer game to watch. :-) 7 pups came on 8/18, 4 boys and 3 girls, all healthy and gaining weight. And of course Flame is a terrific mom.

Flame made her last weekend of competition before maternity leave count - she ran in our local club's AKC trial and earned 7 of 10 Qs, including a quadruple Q on 7/23 (Std, JWW, FAST and Time2Beat) which gave her 20 double-Qs and her MACH!

The Baseball litter is on the way! Flame's ultrasound was positive so we'll be having babies (and Flame's last litter) in mid to late August.

Brooks turned 12 years old on July 10, and celebrated by earning two new agility titles! She finished her NFP in three straight days, and also finished her OJP. She's still having a blast running! Ember finished her NF title, and Flame picked up 2 triple-Qs and is now one double-Q away from her MACH.

Three weekends in a row of new titles for Jean and T!! TWO new agility titles on 6/25! First was the NAJ title, 1st place in just over 17 seconds! Then they earned the XF title with a third place as well. Huge congratulations to that team!

Gramma Brooks finished her NAP and NJP titles on 6/25, and Targa earned her MXJ the next day on 6/26.

Another good weekend for Jean and T, this time in CPE agility. They earned the CL1-F and CL1-R titles on 6/19.

Jean and T had a terrific weekend in obedience on June 11/12, earning two Versatility 1st places which finished her VER title!

Flame did an overall wonderful job in the GLBTC herding trial over Memorial Day, having possibly the best Advanced sheep run of her life, and to all who saw it, except the judge, it was a first place run - but alas, officially she was in 2nd by 1/2 point. To me she has her HC now but we still have to get a first place major to finish off the paperwork. She did earn High in Trial on ducks on Saturday and earned 6 HC points overall for the weekend.

Tracy and Magnus made their agility ring debut over Memorial Day weekend, and earned 2 first places in Novice Preferred while making some spectators' jaws drop. They are going to be a team to be reckoned with!

The ABTC National Specialty in CO was a busy one for Sue & Jim's Sensation girls. Flame had 6 runs in herding, with mixed results - nearly had HIT in ducks on Sunday - and ended up with 2 Qs. In agility, Targa earned her fifth double-Q and also finished her MX title. Brooks was 3 for 4 in Novice Preferred, running 5-6 seconds faster than all the other (much younger) Novice dogs! Flame had some very nice runs, 1st/2nd places, but missed a double-Q and High Combined on Tuesday because of a handler error. Ember didn't get any agility Qs but did finish 3rd in Novice B obedience to finish her CD and her VCD1!

Jean Carman and T keep rolling, earning their ASCA CD title on April 16 and then moving up to earn their first CDX leg in the second trial of the day. They also earned a perfect 200 score in ASCA Rally!

Deb Eldredge's Hokey was named the Top Companion Dog in the Top Dog Contest held by Freedom Guide Dogs for the Blind in New York state. They were honored at a banquet where he wowed the crowd with his obedience work and personality, as well as his stellar behavior amongst all those people. It's a wonderful honor but not a surprise - Hokey's always been a Top Dog in the Sensation family!

The little Light boy is now named Sensation's Point of Light, call name Laser. His new owner is Cindy Graham in PA, and he joins an 11 year old Terv named Charm who is his gramma Brooks' half sister. We miss him but it's going to be great for Laser to be the "main dog" for Cindy to train in obedience and agility.

Nancy Burka's Poppin earned two Excellent FAST Qs at the end of March to finish her XF title! She is now Sensation's Hearts a'Poppin CD RA MX AXJ XF AD ASA NAC.

Ember made quick work of USDAA Starters, earning 5 more Qs out of 5 tries in late March to finish her AD, going 8 for 8 total in Starters. She ran one last time in Starters Jumpers and took an off-course to keep her mom from getting cocky. :-)

The Firelets are two years old! Ember celebrated a couple days early by earning her rally RN title on 3/11. She also made her first try at Novice B obedience and did wonderful ring work but couldn't stay in the correct position on the stays, so we know what we have to work on!

Ember showed herself off very nicely at the dog shows on March 5 & 6, going Winners Bitch and Best of Winners both days. Saturday she also was Best Opposite Sex over a special, and got a good long look for Best of Breed! She now has 4 points toward her championship.

Our girls had a good USDAA weekend on Feb 26/27. Targa finally ran clean in Advanced Standard and earned her Advanced Agility Dog (AAD) title so she is now all in Masters! Flame earned a Steeplechase Q which finished her Tournament Master title, as well as a handful of other Masters Qs. And Ember made her Starters debut and was 3/3 in Qs!

The Light litter made its appearance on January 16, turns out it is a singleton little boy, very healthy. Not the number we were hoping for but we're happy he's here! Check the Light Litter page for pictures and updates.

There's a new RE title in the Sensation family - Jean Carman and T earned their first RE leg over 3 years ago, but had to take time off because of T's excitement barking in the ring. Fast forward to early 2011 when T has herself under wonderful control and earns 1st and 2nd places in big classes to finish the RE in style! Congratulations to Jean and T, Sensation's Hearts are Wild UD RE NA OF PG1.
